Everyday Use II

I can relate very much to there situation. I know all about siblins’ and their fighting. My two don’t stop bickering ever. I think Dee deserted her family cuz she was embarrassed of their situation, n’ i don’t agree with that kind of behavior. My family has had many problems and we stuck together, and now were livin’ happy in this new home. I agree with Mama, i wouldn’t have wanted Dee to have the blanket either, her sister deserved it more. I think that family’s story n’ my own are very relatable in many ways…

  1. I don’t think Dee left because she was embarrassed but just because she wanted to make something of herself. I agree that mama should have given the blanket to Dee’s sister because she knew how much it meant to the family and the importance of remembering her grandmother, when Dee just thought of it as an accessory.
